Massage is a gift to the body mind and spirit! It is a nurturing that assists the body’s innate wisdom of healing. Massage helps soothe, release, restore and generate the possibilities of greater health in a specific area of the body or in total overall performance and function. Massage is applied with hands-on techniques using varying pressures and strokes for what is required by the body.Often multiple types of massage techniques are combined to create the greatest result. Beth has taught and trained in multiple modalities for over 30 yrs. and still finds great joy in helping a client create or restore new functions physically mentally and emotionally thru each session! Therapeutic: A variety of advanced modalities that enhance the body’s natural restorative functioning. Light to firm touch is used to release tension, relax muscles, increase blood and lymph circulation, and impart a sense of calm. Therapeutic massage can be used as a collaborative, supportive addition to conventional medical treatment of illness and injury, alleviating pain and stress, aiding soft tissue healing, and revitalizing the body. Deep Tissue: Massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Fascial Release: hands-on, in kneading-style strokes that are meant to stretch, loosen, soften and lengthen muscle tissues. The strokes are applied with gentle pressure and held for approximately 2-minutes in order for the stretch to have its full effect on the muscle. Typically the same stretch is performed more than once until the muscle is totally relaxed and a release is felt. Many other techniques.

Pilates: Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength, and muscle balance. Weights: Strength training for developing the strength and size of skeletal muscles. It utilizes the force of gravity in the form of weighted bars, dumbbells or weight stacks in order to oppose the force generated by muscle through concentric or eccentric contraction. Barre: barre classes mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, and the moves are choreographed to motivating music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you'll use the barreand exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body. Ball: Mixes cardio and resistance moves to help you build strength and blast fat—all while sculpting a tighter torso and flatter abs. A weighted ball is a great training tool because you can add it to almost any exercise to challenge your core stability and improve coordination. Bosu: "Both Sides Up" or "Both Sides Utilized." With a flat platform on one side and a rubber dome on the other, it can help you improve your balance and flexibility, sharpen your reflexes, and reshape your body. Bands: A resistance band is an elastic band used for strength training. They are also commonly used in physical therapy, specifically by convalescents of muscular injuries, including cardiac rehab patients to allow slow rebuilding of strength. Aerobics: Various sustained exercises as jogging, rowing, swimming, or cycling, that stimulate and strengthen the heart and lungs, thereby improving the body's utilization of oxygen.
